What Happened To Playtime?

The Draft Craft Manifesto was created during a time when the popularity of craft was increasing and this led to an interest into the reason why this increase was occuring. The manifesto states that one of the reasons why craft popularity was increasing was due to the fact that craft is a form of play.

Play commonly relates and leads back to playtime from when we were children, as this was a time in our lives where nothing else mattered but having fun and being imaginative.

This book is a representation of playfulness being lost from childhood to adulthood and how art can be used to bring this fun side of you back to life, almost as if it was never lost to begin with but rather pushed to the side as other responsibilites took over.
Throughout the book, the art of play is captured through childhood drawings and colourful visions, showcasing the need for creativity in life and how this can have a positive effect on people and their lives.
